14th March // First aid for Backcountry & Ski Touring - Morz

Join WMClubber and Expedition Medic Lucy Oblensky and learn what you need to know before you go away from the controlled/patrolled ski area on an adventure. Do you know what to do if something goes wrong?
Learn essential first aid for common ski touring injuries, including avalanche response. We'll cover group safety, emergency calls, location sharing, and must-have first aid kit essentials.
Kit needed - Touring ski kit inc backpack and avi kit (transceiver, shovel, probe), warm clothes, gloves that allow you to be dextrous (ie not mittens!) your first aid kit, snacks, warm drink.
Splitboarders welcome (see note below)
PLEASE NOTE: Lucy is a highly experienced wilderness medic/Dr/trainer and not a guide or ski instructor. This session will be run on touring skis and will involve a short tour on a track from the car park and no ski lifts. You will need to be autonomous in terms of skiing/riding.
Time of Session: 09 - 13h
Location of Session: Morzine valley likely Erigné, tbc in session email 2 days prior to course. No ski lifts involved.
Level of Session: autonomous with ski touring/splitboarding kit on a track/mellow slope..
